It was a double dose of Queens this previous weekend when Queens of the Stone Age introduced their North American tour to Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. Heavy Consequence photographer Rodrigo Fredes was there to seize the band in motion.
As we talked about when recapping the August 3rd kickoff show in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the outing — dubbed “The Finish Is Nero Tour” — is QOTSA’s first stateside headlining run in 5 years.
The 17-song set in Queens featured favorites equivalent to “No One Is aware of,” “My God Is the Solar,” “Little Sister,” and “Go With the Movement.” At one level, frontman Josh Homme requested followers to select between “Made to Parade” and “Time & Place,” with the previous profitable out.
Queens of the Stone Age have since performed gigs in Washington, D.C., and Asheville, North Carolina, however have been pressured to postpone an August fifteenth present in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a result of excessive climate. The tour continues Friday night time (August 18th) in Atlanta, and runs by way of early October, with tickets available here.
